Hello, I'm Dr. Marybeth.
I'm excited to meet you! I am originally from outside of Chicago and spent my formative years as a Badger attending University of Wisconsin for my undergraduate and master's degree program. I was fortunate enough to move to the land of sun and live in Arizona where I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. It was in Arizona where I learned to love camping, hiking, and traveling on a graduate student budget. After a few years of enjoying the surf in San Diego, California, I landed in Fort Collins where we get all the sunshine, better winters than the midwest, and all the outdoor adventures I could ask for.
In my free time, I am usually spending time with my husband and two daughters playing board games, going for a hike, or planning our next trip. You might also find me baking sourdough, a hobby I picked up during COVID and never let go!
My Approach.
I am a child psychologist with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of mental health, specializing in assessments and mental health of children, adolescents, and young adults. I have a passion for supporting families and young people who are feeling stuck in their life, whether it is due to academic difficulties, social challenges, or finding that the therapy or treatment they have been trying isn't quite leading to the outcomes expected. I had the honor of developing a multidiscplinary mental health program for children and youth in our community, which was incredibly rewarding personally and professionally. Along the way, I made connections with our local school districts and our close knit mental health provider community, which informs my systems approach to youth mental health, it truly takes a village! I love psychological testing because it combines my love of connecting with people and my skills in analyzing data in a way that gives families and young adults a clear, practical direction for next steps.
